An Israeli bombing at dawn leads to a journalistic life and ten members of her family

Today, Wednesday, Palestinian journalist Fatima Hassouna was killed, after an Israeli bombing targeting her family’s house in Al -Tu`bah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, which led to her upgrading with ten members of her family, including women and children.

Local sources stated that Israeli planes launched a violent raid on the house of Hassouna family, which resulted in widespread destruction and a large number of martyrs and injured in Al -Nakfar Street.

Fatima’s lens … a living testimony to crimes

Fatima was one of the most prominent field journalists in Gaza, and she emerged with her lens during the ongoing Israeli aggression, as violations documented and conveyed the human image of the suffering of the trapped and hungry in the northern Gaza Strip.

Despite the siege and danger, Fatima insisted on staying, to carry the world pictures of children under the bombing, and the mothers ’voice in the rubble, and did not leave Gaza, but rather faced death with the camera daily.

Fatima, “You don’t want to be a number”

Prior to her martyrdom, Fatima wrote:

“If I die … I want a resounding death, I do not want me in an urgent news, I want an impact that remains the eternity, and immortal images that are not buried by time.”

Fatima left and her words and pictures remain a witness to the cruelty of aggression. Journalists and activists have been mourned on the communication sites, stressing that it was the “Gaza Eye” that resisted in the picture.

More than 210 journalists in the list of martyrs

With the assassination of Fatima, the number of journalists who have been martyred since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023 to 211 journalists, according to the government media office in Gaza.

The last of them was also the two journalists Ahmed Mansour and Hilmi Al -Faqawi, who were martyred after Israel bombed a tent of journalists near Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis.

A war that does not stop

On March 18, 2025, the Israeli army resumed its aggression after a two -month truce, but it did not abide by it. Since October 2023, Israel has continued to commit a genocide in the sector, which resulted in more than 167,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, along with more than 14,000 missing.
