Representative Ahmed Sabah Al -Salloum submits an urgent proposal to compensate the victims of the complex of (360) excavations

Representative Ahmed Sabah Al -Salloum, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives, today (Tuesday), a proposal for a desire to urge the Parliament’s office, in which he demanded a speedy completion of the project to extend the sewage water network in the 360 ​​complex located on Adhari Street, in addition to forming a specialized technical committee that considers complaints of citizens affected by construction work, evaluating the damage to their homes and properties, and taking what is necessary To compensate them.

The proposal came according to Article (68) of the constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Article (128) of the internal regulations of the House of Representatives, which allows the Council – in urgent cases – to discuss proposals without referring them to the competent committees, with the aim of accelerating the dealing with urgent issues that affect the lives of citizens and their daily needs.

The MP Al -Salloum explained in his explanatory note attached to the proposal that the project concerned was supposed to be completed on its specified date on March 30, 2025, but the delay in its completion caused the continued suffering of the people, especially the residents of the construction area, where many complaints indicated that homes were damaged by cracks and murals, as well as the daily obstacles that they face Population due to continuous excavations.

Representative Al -Salloum stressed that the importance of the proposal is reflected in several aspects, most notably the protection of the rights of citizens from the damage resulting from infrastructure projects, and to ensure their compensation fairly, in addition to the formation of a neutral technical committee will contribute to examining complaints and evaluating the damage in a transparent professional way, far from individual jurisprudence or treatments.

He added that delaying the project not only affects citizens in terms of material damage, but also a threat to public health and environmental safety, as a result of the slowdown in the implementation of the sewage network, which requires a rapid move to address the situation.

The MP Al -Salloum indicated that what was presented by it represents a clear popular demand, reflecting the direct communication of the deputies with citizens and their adoption of their issues, as well as the principle of constructive cooperation between the legislative and the executive authority, and reinforces the societal partnership in dealing with urgent service files.

The MP Al -Salloum concluded his statement by emphasizing the importance of moving this file with an urgent priority, expressing his hope that the proposal will have the necessary support, and that the executive authorities interact with him in a way that achieves the public interest and preserves the rights of the affected families.
