The Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation welcomed the joining of the pilot Ahmed Salama Matar as the assistant Chairman of the Holding Company for Operations, Safety and Quality Affairs, delegating from the Holding Company for EgyptAir.
Captain Matar is included in many leadership positions and gained several different experiences in the administration. He held the position of Director of the Munpopian Center for the Integrated Operations Center at EgyptAir Airlines, then moved to the Holding Company for Egypt Air to hold several positions, including the director of the SAFA Foreign Inspection Department, the Director of Air Safety Department in the Safety and Quality Sector and Follow -up to the performance of companies, then as the Director General of the General Administration of Fuel and Emissions, the Director General of the General Department of Safety in the Safety and Quality and Follow -up of Companies Performance, and finally the Vice -President of the Safety and Quality Sector And follow the performance of companies.

In addition to his work in the Holding Company for Egypt Aviation, Captain Matar holds the position of Chairman of the Environmental Policy Committee in the Arab Aviation Federation, and a member of the Ministry of Civil Aviation Committee for review and traffic on Egyptian airports.
Captain Matar was represented by EgyptAir Holding Company in several forums, including the COP28 conference that was held in Dubai in 2023, and the US UNAD Commission for Sustainability Projects, in addition to many international conferences and events.
Captain Matar received several training courses from the IAO and IATA organizations and both the Arab Aviation Federation and the EgyptAir Training Academy.
