The museums sector celebrates World Art Day
The museum sector administration said, in a statement that art played an important role in transferring the culture and civilization of peoples and embodying human creativity and its development through the ages, leaving us a rich legacy of paintings and sculptures and a lot of the product of different arts. Art is an effective way to enhance human ties between peoples, a tool to spread awareness of fine arts, and enhance art in our daily life to develop skills of creativity and analytical thinking.
The museum sector administration indicated that since the dawn of history, art was the companion of the human being on his journey through time and one of the most important means that I use to express himself and the world around him, leaving his mark on the pages of different civilizations, as a living witness to his creativity and development.
Two stained limestone statues depict Ra Nafar
In another context, the Egyptian Museum of Tahrir displays two statues of the colored limestone, depicting Ra Nafer, who held the position of the elder priest of the God, Ptah and Surger in Memphis and the chief artists and craftsmen during the era of the Fifth Dynasty, the old state, in his official and unofficial bodies.
The administration of the Egyptian Museum of Tahrir said, in a statement, that the height of both statues is 178 cm, and they were found in the cemetery of Ra Nafer in the Saqqara Archeology area and they are currently being displayed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
