The ninth representative of Northern Abdullah Sharida presented a proposal to establish a sports city on a property located on Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Street, complex 1212 in Hamad City.
He stressed that it will be an integrated destination for the athletes and emerging talents, which will contribute to supporting the sports sector.
Draida explained that the real estate area is suitable for the establishment of the sports city, noting that the population increasing in Hamad Town is more than 100 thousand people, which requires the provision of space to develop the skills of all ages, groups and young sports talents in all internal and external sports forums.
This, and the council unanimously agreed to the proposal, and a recommendation was submitted to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture.
