Dr. Hossam Othman, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Innovation Affairs, attended today, Monday, the meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Research Center headed by Dr. Mamdouh Moawad, President of the Center, and the presence of a number of leaders and members of the Research Authority at the center.

In his speech, Dr. Hossam Othman stressed the importance of the role of the National Center for Research, as the largest and most important research center with a multidisciplinary research in Egypt and the Middle East, in transferring technology and linking scientific research to the industry, as well as stressed the need to pay attention to the innovative impact of the National Research Center in line with the national policy of sustainable innovation, and to benefit from the outcomes of scientific research to come out with competitive products that achieve a societal and economic impact.
Dr. Mohamed Hashem, President of the National Center for the Research for Innovative Products, and the former head of the center, presented a presentation on the company, its goals, policy and contributions in the field of scientific research, and the implementation of some ready -made products for immediate application.
For his part, Dr. Mamdouh Moawad praised the role of the Center for Innovative Products in linking scientific research to the industry by marketing research outputs and converting them into applicable products.
It is noteworthy that the company, in cooperation with one of the private companies to produce Fixen for the treatment of bird flu, as well as cooperating with one of the plastic companies to produce high -quality high -cost rubber tiles dependent on the recycling of agricultural, plastic and rubber waste that will help reduce the environmental impact of this waste, and can be used in sports clubs, nurseries and schools as it is characterized by the feature of preventing slipping.
After that, Dr. Hossam Othman, accompanied by Dr. Mamdouh Moawad, visited the center’s computer unit in the center and identifying the unit’s features and capabilities that qualify it to create an artificial intelligence unit at the center to serve the scientific research system.
