The opening of the Kingdom of Bahrain “convergence of the seas” in Expo 2025 Osaka next Sunday

On Sunday, April 13, 2025 AD, the Kingdom of Bahrain opens its national wing, “The seas” in Expo 2025 Osaka. This is the fourth national participation of the Kingdom in the global Expo. The current Expo version will be held in the Kansai area in Japan and will continue until October 13. The Expo carries the slogan “Innovation of the future to improve the life of societies”, which includes three sub -topics that include: “Ensuring the sustainability of life”, “Improving life”, and “Promoting Life through Communication”. The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities is organizing the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Expo in partnership with the Economic Development Council.

The Bahrain Pavilion is located in the “Improvement of Life” area and covers an area of ​​995 square meters, with a height of 13.7 meters distributed on four floors, overlooking a sea view, and was designed by the Lebanese architect residing in Paris Lina Graza with its Lina Ghotmeh – Architecture, to be one of the most sustainable wings in the Expo. The design of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s wing in Expo highlights the deep historical relationship of Bahraini society with the sea. Its details are inspired by the Kingdom’s marine heritage and Japanese carpentry traditions.

The sensory character of the wing extends to it to provide an interactive experience across five areas that address the various senses. In order to accomplish this experience, cooperation with a group of talents and creative companies and designers from Bahrain, including the Shepherd Studio Company and the artist Hassan Hajiri. The pavilion also includes a dedicated floor on the future of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the supervision of the Economic Development Council, the Kingdom’s strategic location and position highlights as an open global economic center and an attractive environment for investment.

As for the café inside the pavilion, it is supervised by the Bahraini chef, Tala Bashmi, which will present an innovative list that mixes the authentic Bahraini flavors and modern Japanese cooking techniques. The cultural scene is completed in a gift store that displays products inspired by local heritage, in addition to special fashion for suite employees and volunteers designed by Bahraini fashion designer Lulwa Al -Amin, to reflect Bahrain’s cultural identity and be innovated in it.

It contributes to the wing of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Expo many parties that include: Aluminum Bahrain (Alba), the Arab Shipbuilding and Reform Company (family), Babco Enemz, PFG International, Dibaj, GFH Financial Group, Bahrain Institute of Pearls and Deceptions (Danat), Midal Cables, and Rising Fource Group. The “seas” pavilion is also with silver support from both Aluminum Bahrain “Alba”, the “Tamkeen” labor fund and the Bahrain Mumtakla Holding Company “Mumtalakat”, the sovereign wealth fund for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Expo is expected to attract more than 28 million visitors from all over the world, with the participation of about 150 countries, in a global event that provides opportunities for knowledge exchange and communication between peoples for a better future for humanity. Each suite will also be devoted to a national day to celebrate his country’s culture and values.
