A Chinese man from the city of Chunching was injured with a fungal infection in the lung, after for years he used to inhale the smell of his dirty socks after being removed daily, and it is usually described by doctors as unhealthy and dangerous.

According to Audity Central, the man, a middle -aged office employee, was transferred to the Southwest Hospital of the Army Medical University, after suffering from a chronic cough that intensified in recent days, accompanied by severe redness in the eyes. Although he took cough medicines, his condition did not improve, which required advanced tests.
The results of the CT scans and MRI showed the presence of an abnormal shade in the lower right lung. In the aftermath of the bronchial theorizing, it was found that the patient has a fungal infection known as machine guns, a rare health but it may be serious.
During the medical investigation, the hospital’s hospital’s respiratory physician, the man, reported that the man admitted that he was accustomed to smelling the smell of his socks before washing it daily. After analyzing a sample of dirty socks, traces of the brush mushrooms were found, which confirmed the association of the infection of this improper habit.
Doctors pointed out that the warm and humid environment inside the shoes, in addition to the presence of sweat, salts and urea, is an ideal medium for fungi growth. The inhalation of these fungi frequently can lead to respiratory infections, and may worsen to reach the lungs, causing serious complications.
The patient is transferred to receive immediate treatment, with general warnings not to inhale the smells emitted from dirty clothes or socks, in order to avoid possible health risks.
