Luxor Governorate is preparing to host the activities of the fifteenth International Conference on Sustainability, Development and advanced research in tourism and heritage ”, during the period from 15 to 19 April 2025, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Culture, and the European Travel and Travel Commission.
This year, the conference is gaining special importance for coinciding with UNESCO’s celebration of World Heritage Day on April 18, which enhances the position of Luxor as a permanent capital of human heritage.
Extensive international participation and elite of specialists
The conference, deans and members of teaching bodies from Egyptian, Arab and international universities, along with a number of local and international officials, and experts specializing in tourism, culture and heritage.
Scientific sessions discuss the green future and smart tourism
The conference includes a series of scientific sessions and specialized workshops, which deal with vital topics such as:
Cultural tourism
Green transformation and artificial intelligence applications
• Technology in sustainable tourism
• Preserving heritage in light of climate changes
• Successful experiences in environmental and heritage tourism
• Issues of agriculture and food, the environment, arts, engineering, health and artificial intelligence
Luxor Governor: The conference reflects the city’s position as a world heritage destination
Engineer Abdel -Muttalib Amara, Governor of Luxor, welcomed the convening of this year’s edition of the conference on Luxor, confirming the full support of the province to ensure the success of the event, in a manner befitting the date and status of the city. He pointed out that the conference coinciding with World Heritage Day is a strong boost for cultural tourism in Luxor.
