The Speaker of the Southern Municipal Council, Abdullah Abdullatif, and the deputy chairman of the Board of Directors of Urbasir – Bahrain Ahmed Al -Khan, stressed the importance of intensifying awareness efforts directed to consolidate the culture of maintaining the cleanliness of the southern region as a social responsibility and a civilized value, and the need to adhere to and pay attention to the general hygiene standards and full respect for the environment and laws. They stressed the need to apply the law of hygiene to violators by the municipality firmly to ensure adherence to the standards and laws aimed at preserving the environment and the civilizational appearance of the Kingdom. We note the need to launch and implement more campaigns and various media initiatives that aim to enhance environmental awareness and develop societal sense of the importance of general hygiene, and to encourage the adoption of positive behaviors that contribute to preserving the environment of the Kingdom of Bahrain clean and sustainable for future generations. Al -Khan stressed the commitment of Urbasir to enhance the frameworks of constructive cooperation with municipal councils as a key partner in achieving sustainable development goals in the field of hygiene and waste management. During the meeting held in the company’s office in the Al -Seif suburb, to discuss ways to develop public hygiene services in the southern region and enhance environmental awareness among citizens and residents, within the framework of joint cooperation and institutional integration, highlighting the pivotal role played by members of the municipal councils as a strategic link between citizens and the services provided by the cleaning company, in order to listen to their needs and aspirations and the effective contribution in improving the services provided Improved. The two parties agreed on the importance of holding more regular coordination meetings between the supervisory body represented by the municipal council, the executive body represented in the municipality of the southern region, and the cleaning company represented by Urbasir, with the aim of developing the services provided and achieving integration in efforts.
