Samir Abdullah Nass, President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Somati Chullatta, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Bahrain, on an official visit aimed at discussing ways to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and support the existing bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Thailand.
During the meeting, the depth and durability of the relations that link the two friendly countries, which start from solid foundations of mutual respect, understanding and common interests, were emphasized, and the two sides praised the continuous development in bilateral relations, especially on the economic level, which is witnessing a remarkable growth that reflects the common desire to expand the horizons of cooperation between the two private sectors in both countries.
The two sides discussed the reality of the trade exchange between Bahrain and Thailand, which exceeds 384.5 million US dollars during the year 2024, which reflects the vitality of commercial relations, and indicates the great capabilities to strengthen them during the coming period, especially in light of the availability of many promising investment opportunities in vital sectors such as food, medical sector, hospitality, and real estate.
In this context, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry is preparing to host a high -level Taland commercial delegation on Sunday, April 20, 2025, where bilateral work meetings will be organized by the visiting delegation with their counterparts from the Bahraini business community, and this meeting aims to build strategic partnerships, exchange experiences, and explore opportunities for commercial and investment cooperation, which contributes to pushing economic relations between the two countries to broader horizons.
This visit comes within a series of international meetings that the Bahrain Chamber is keen to organize as part of its continuous endeavor to enhance the presence of the Kingdom of Bahrain as an open economic and commercial center, attract more foreign investments, and open new horizons to cooperate with international partners.
The meeting was attended by the Chamber by the Second Deputy Chairman of the Board, Mohamed Abdel -Jabbar Al -Kohaji, the Secretary of the Fund, Aref Hajras, Deputy Treasurer Walid Kano, member of the Executive Office in the name of Al -Sa’i, and members of the board of directors Youssef Salah Al -Din and Yaqoub Al -Awadi, along with the Chamber of Executive Chairman Atef Mohamed Al -Khaja.
