Representative Abdul Nabi Salman Ahmed, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, stressed that the wise Bahraini diplomacy led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him, and with the support and follow -up and efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, was able to constitute a unique model of the balanced diplomatic approach, and the active efforts And the internationals, thanks to its wise diplomatic roles, committed to the values of moderation, balance and openness, respect for the sovereignty of states, and the rejection of external interference in internal affairs.
This came during the participation of Representative Abdel Nabi Salman, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, in a workshop on “on diplomacy and parliamentary mediation”, which was held on the sidelines of the 150th General Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union in the city of Tashkent in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Salman praised the royal trends and supporting the efforts of the United Nations and its humanitarian, developmental and environmental goals, by launching many initiatives that established the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in promoting development goals, stressing the support of the legislative authority to enhance international parliamentary cooperation, highlight the role of parliaments in resolving conflicts by peaceful means, and coordinating legislative efforts to face common challenges.
Salman praised the active attendance of Bahraini diplomacy in regional and international forums, and obtaining the confidence of parliaments and legislative councils, in obtaining leadership positions in parliamentary organizations, hosting international events and conferences, and obtaining parliamentary awards and certificates, which reflect the size of development and progress in the democratic process in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Salman said during the workshop that the Bahraini parliamentary diplomacy records success and excellence through its contributions and efforts in building bridges of communication, and enhancing parliamentary relationships and ties between legislative councils and parliaments in all countries of the world.
