On the occasion of the Bahraini Journalists Association celebrating the silver jubilee of its founding, Al -Rumaihi presented the verses of congratulations and blessings to the president, board of directors and members of the association, stressing the active role played by the national press in the national development process in various fields.
Dr. Al -Rumaihi added that the Bahraini Journalists Association, over a quarter of a century, was able to be the umbrella of a university family, and a national institution that enhances professional values, defends the freedom of the responsible word and the principles of national action, and contributes to the development of Bahraini media cadres, until the press in the Kingdom of Bahrain became a sincere mirror of the country’s achievements, and a vote expressing the aspirations of the citizen.
Dr. Al -Rumaihi appreciated the association’s contributions to consolidating the national identity, enhancing the culture of dialogue and openness, and active participation in consolidating the principles of political development based on societal partnership, respecting pluralism, and expanding popular participation in decision -making.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees concluded by emphasizing the efforts of the association in supporting the environment of journalistic work, and enhancing the partnership with various national institutions, stressing the keenness of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development to continue to cooperate with the association in everything that would improve media discourse and promote national culture and political development, in a way that serves the national project and enhances societal awareness.
