A number of leaders of the Metro Authority moved, a short time ago, to the site of the Rawd Al -Faraj station, one of the first line of the Cairo Metro Tunnels, which erupted minutes ago and resulted in some cases of suffocation.

Sources in the subway confirmed that the fire that broke out in one of the outlets of the metro station, a few minutes after its outbreak, was controlled, as the civil protection forces that took control of the smoke were controlled as soon as it was up.
The sources pointed out that when the fumes rise from the station, instructions were issued that no trains were stood in the metro inside the station until the conditions were controlled in order to ensure the safety of citizens.
The sources indicated that no deaths were recorded, but all of them suffocated due to the thick fumes that went up from the fire.
