Iranian President Masoud Bouchakian said that his country has never prevented the dialogue, noting that violating the covenants caused problems that require rebuilding confidence between the parties concerned.
The Iranian president added in statements today, Sunday, that the behavior of American officials will have a decisive role in determining the path of future negotiations.
In his statements, the Iranian president said that his country rejected direct negotiations with the United States in its response to the message of former President Donald Trump, but the indirect dialogue is still available.
He also stressed that Iran does not evade negotiations, but rather that breaching obligations by the United States is the main cause of current problems, and pointed out that Iran’s response to Trump’s message has arrived in Washington through the Sultanate of Oman.
Possible military options against Iran
Earlier, the US Department of Defense confirmed that all matters are on the potential military options against Iran, in response to the Houthi attacks.
“I think President Donald Trump’s publication via Truth Social was completely clear, and I think its meaning is clear to everyone.
Trump stated in his post that Iran would bear responsibility and will bear the consequences of any other Houthi attacks.
