His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, honored four members of the Youth Committee of the Supreme Council for Women as part of the winners of the “Exalted Volunteer” initiative during the annual ceremony organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs on the occasion of Bahraini Youth Day, which falls on March 25 of each year, in the presence of a number of ministers and officials.

The honor included Mr. Khaled Salah Al -Muharraqi, a member of the Executive Office of the Youth Committee, the engineer, who sacrificed Al -Bishr, a member of the Executive Office of the Youth Committee, Zainab Saeed, member of the Youth Committee, and Miss Ryan Al -Safi, member of the Youth Committee.

The “extraordinary volunteer” initiative aims to honor 25 distinguished Bahraini youths in the field of volunteer work, in appreciation of their effective contributions to community service, and the initiative seeks to enhance the culture of volunteer work among young people, and motivate them to participate effectively in voluntary activities, in addition to highlighting the most accomplished youth models in this field.

This honor came in exchange for the tireless efforts made by the members throughout the year by participating in the implementation of a series of programs and events directed to the youth category to enhance their capabilities, and to develop projects and plans to contribute to preparing young people correctly as leaders in the field of social work, as well as their voluntary efforts to activate the role of the Youth Committee in developing the Supreme Council of Women’s action, and providing the necessary support and facilities for young people to enable them to implement their ideas and initiatives on land reality.

It is worth noting that a special committee for youth in the Supreme Council of Women was formed in the year 2003, based on the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of the country’s great monarch, head of the Supreme Council for Women, to care for youth of both sexes and prepare them for future work leaders in the field of empowerment and progress of Bahraini women.
