The team, the engineer of Kamel Al -Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Development for Industry, Minister of Industry and Transport, conducted an inspection tour to follow up the readiness of the first phase of the BRT bus project to inspect the work sites in the second stage of the project to develop the ring road around Greater Cairo.
The Minister was accompanied by Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, Major General Majid Abdel Hamid, Deputy Minister of Transport for Land Transport, Major General Tariq Abdel -Gawad, Chairman of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, the Commission of the Authority and heads of implementing companies and the project consultant.
BRT busy bus
The tour started with the minister inspecting the stations of the first phase of the 14th buses project, which number 14, which are (Adly Mansour Station “Non -Step Station” – 2 surface stations in the “Bhatim Bhatim and Police Academy” – 11 surface stations with a tunnel of the heights “(Alexandria, Agricultural, Sharqia, Shubra Benha, Massred, Al -Khad, Al -Muj, Al -Qalaj, Al -Zakat Foundation, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Al -Orabi, Salam and Suez Road The total number of project stations in its three stages, amounting to 48 stations.
During the tour, the work system for the frequency bus was reviewed and how to link the project stations and the positions in the lower road that serves those coming to and from the circular road, as well as how the passenger arrives at the stations from those situations, whether through the cabinets or spending, and even the independence of the hesitating bus in addition to reviewing the waiting places inside the stations and ways to obtain tickets and traffic from the electronic gates of the bus and the minister affirmed Ali Organizing the movement of infallibility from Adly Mansour station in the BRT project to Adly Mansour, the giant reciprocal central station, to facilitate the arrival of the passenger to the light electric train, the third metro, the Adly Mansour railway line, and the position of the Super Gate buses.
Entering 100 electric buses on the ring road
The Deputy Prime Minister for Development for Industry, Minister of Industry and Transport, confirmed that during the first and second stages of the BRT bus project, which will be done on the ring road around Greater Cairo; The number of 100 electric buses, each bus, will run 66 passengers, equivalent to 5 microbus, in order to transport 3,200 passengers per hour in both directions.
The minister pointed out that these buses were produced locally in Egypt, within the framework of implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi to work to localize the various industries in Egypt, including the bus industry, and not to import any buses from abroad, within the framework of the comprehensive plan to advance the industrial sector with the aim of converting Egypt into a regional industrial center, pointing out that the dumping time will be 3 minutes, equivalent to 20 buses per hour and the dumping period will reach a minute and a half in peak times.
Preventing microbus on the ring road
The minister added, that the frequency bus project will represent a civilized pattern that the state seeks to achieve in the various projects it implements, as it is a group of environmentally friendly transportation and will contribute to facilitating the movement of citizens in the framework of the plan to maintain discipline and traffic liquidity in the circular road, as it aims to eliminate random situations located on the ring road, whether on the path, acquaintances or homes of the road and where it will contribute to Preventing the rise of microbus on the ring road and being bound by the new surface road next to the circular road with the creation of superficial parking for microbus that serve the fast bus stations and encourage and maximize the mass transportation system by attracting new users of public transportation instead of special cars, especially since these buses will provide the highest levels of service to citizens in addition to maintaining the environment by reducing emissions from car exhaust All buses that will be managed by environmentally friendly electrical buses
The minister pointed out that the project will contribute to linking the main intersections on the ring road such as the Suez intersection, Adly Mansour intersection, the Marj intersection and the Meshird intersection. And (the third line metro at the two stations of Adly Mansour – Imbaba) and (light electric train at Adly Mansour).
