The ministerial committee in charge of the joint extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit on developments in the Gaza Strip expresses its condemnation and condemnation of the raids launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip, and their direct bombing of inhabited areas of isolation civilians, which resulted in the killing and injury of hundreds of Palestinians, which constitute a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement, United Nations decisions, covenants, treaties, international agreements and international law The human being, which exacerbates the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the sector, pose an additional threat and harm to security and stability in the region, and an escalation that foreshadows the expansion of the regional conflict, and undermines efforts to achieve calm and stability in the region.
The committee renews its demand for the international community to assume its moral and legal responsibilities and immediately intervene to pressure Israel (the occupying power) to immediately stop its aggression and violations and comply with the United Nations resolutions and international law and international humanitarian law, and protect Palestinian civilians from the unfair Israeli war machine, and to compel Israel to restore the electrical current in Gaza, and open all crossings to ensure the entry of humanitarian aid in the form Extensive and continuous to various parts of the sector, which suffers from an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
In this regard, the committee affirms the urgent need for a permanent and sustainable ceasefire, the stopping of the Israeli escalation, the resumption of dialogue and the return to negotiations, in order to implement all stages of the ceasefire agreement, leading to ending the war on the Gaza Strip, and preventing a return to a renewed cycle of violence.
The committee renews its fixed position, which confirms the importance of achieving a just and sustainable peace for the Palestinian issue within the framework of the two -state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative in accordance with the United Nations resolutions, international law, standards, and agreed references, and ensuring the protection of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 lines and the embodiment of the Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The committee, which was formed on November 11, 2023, includes in its membership of the foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, the Turkish Republic, the Republic of Indonesia, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the State of Palestine, and the Secretary General of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
