The report pointed out that the transportation sector witnessed huge transformations throughout the ages, from the wheel to the era of steam, then flying and exploring space, and today, the world stands on the threshold of a new radical transformation driven in two main directions: sustainability and digitization, explaining that electric vehicles, self -systems, smart infrastructure and digital logistical services are no longer just future concepts, but rather became a reality gradually expanding, which made transportation more Intelligence, sustainability and comprehensiveness.

The report showed these trends and innovations that reshape the means of transport through land, sea, atmosphere, and even space, while highlighting the role of intellectual property in supporting these changes, noting that intellectual property plays a pivotal role in pushing the innovation wheel within the transportation sector, where data analysis reveals that more than 1.1 million patents related to the future of transportation have been published since 2000, at the rate of growth that far exceeds traditional technologies, This accelerating growth reflects the importance of protecting new ideas, which contributes to stimulating investment and supporting development strategies. The future of transportation is not only the development of new means, but also the reshaping of the system as a whole, including how a person interacts with transportation and modern technology.

The report pointed out that there are four main technology axes that constitute the future of transportation. The first is sustainable payment, which includes electrical payment systems, hydrogen fuel cells and alternative fuel, which are necessary to reduce emissions and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

The second axis is automation and a circular economy, as industrial robots, smart factories and additional manufacturing play a fundamental role in making production more efficient and reducing environmental waste.

Whereas, the third axis is communications and safety, by relying on fifth generation networks, self -driving, connected vehicles and smart infrastructure, which enhances safety and contributes to traffic management more intelligently.

The fourth axis, which relates to the techniques of the interface of human interaction and the Human -Machine Interage, where techniques such as touch screens, audio and face recognition, and augmented reality contribute to making transportation more interactive and easily for users.

The report pointed out that land transport is the most dominant on innovations, as it contains more than 3.5 times the number of patents compared to marine, air and space transport combined, as China, Japan, the United States of America, South Korea, and Germany occupy the first ranks in the patent registration, as these countries represent more than 90% of the innovations registered in the transport sector.

The report added that sustainable payment patents have witnessed a remarkable development, thanks to the expansion of the adoption of electric vehicles and the development of solid state batteries, while in the field of air transport, efforts are focused on sustainable fuel and urban air transport, and maritime transport is witnessing a shift towards the development of smart ports and the use of alternative fuel such as ammonia, and the satellite transport sector is witnessing progress in the areas of additional manufacturing and the use of technology Block chains to improve satellite communications.

With technological progress, the transportation sector faces complex challenges, including organizational issues, data protection, infrastructure development, and achieving environmental sustainability, and despite this, these challenges open the door to tremendous opportunities to redesign transportation systems in more efficient and sustainable ways, and therefore, the report stresses the importance of international cooperation between companies, governments and innovators to ensure the development of transportation methods that support sustainable development goals for the year 2030 and beyond.

The report looks forward to the future and confirms that by 2030, sustainable and digital transportation technologies will become more prevalent, with great progress in electric vehicles, urban air transport and artificial intelligence in the Traffic Department, but after 2030, it is expected that some ambitious visions such as frequent space transport, high -speed trains, immediate communication between vehicles and infrastructure will be achieved, which will reshape lifestyles and work in the world.

The report indicated in its conclusion that the future of transportation is not limited to improving the means of movement, but also extends to the re -visualization of human interaction with cities, environment and global economy, as innovation in transportation is a key key to achieving sustainability and digitization, which makes transportation systems safer, efficient, and comprehensive for all.
