The players of the Olympic football team, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, called for urgent intervention in order to obtain their late financial dues for their recent participation in international championships, especially with their willingness to upcoming entitlements.

This came on the sidelines of the last session of the first Egyptian football team in preparation for the Ethiopia match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, scheduled for next Friday, in Morocco.
The Minister of Youth and Sports said that the ministry pays great attention to all players in the national teams, whether at the level of the Olympic teams or others, pointing to communication with the Egyptian Football Association and the concerned authorities to ensure the rights of the players and provide all support to them, stressing that each player has the right to obtain his dues in a timely manner, and this is one of the basics of administrative work within the ministry.
He pointed out that the ministry appreciates the efforts of the players in representing Egypt in international forums, and we will not save an effort to improve their financial and moral conditions, stressing that all necessary measures are taken to ensure their rights, and to continue their support in their career to achieve more successes.
For their part, the players stressed that financial support represents a great motivation for them in order to provide the best performance, stressing the need for rapid intervention by the ministry to ensure their financial rights, expressing their hope that this problem will be solved as soon as possible.
