Lieutenant -General Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, met with Surain, the CEO of MSC shipping, to discuss ways of joint cooperation, through video technology.

This came in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Suez Canal Authority, and a delegation of representatives of the MSC navigational line in Egypt that included Tariq Fahmy, CEO of MSC Egypt, Karim Fahmy, Director of Operations Development for MSC in Egypt, Izz Al -Din Salem, Director of Operations Operations in Egypt, and Ihab Fathi, Director of Operations of the Suez Canal region in Egypt.

The meeting discussed the impact of developments in the developments of the situation in the Red Sea region and Bab al -Mandab on global navigation, and reviewing the sailing policies of the “MSC” navigation “MSC” in the Suez Canal.

For his part, the team, Osama Rabie, affirmed the authority’s keenness to achieve direct and effective communication with customers and meet the requirements of the current stage and the vital necessity imposed by the challenges to join efforts to reach work mechanisms that achieve common interests.

The team, Rabie, expressed his aspiration to complete the discussions and follow up the developments of the situation with the MSC navigational line, allowing the exchange of visions and clarifying the situation and then making more positive decisions towards the return of sailing in the region gradually.

The team explained that the Suez Canal did not stop providing its navigational and navigational services since the outbreak of the Red Sea crisis, but rather worked to develop its services and add a package of new navigation services that were not provided before, the most prominent of which are maritime rescue services, the repair and maintenance of ships, the replacement of marine crews, the marine ambulance service and others.

The Chairman of the Authority expressed his appreciation for the cooperation relations extended with the MSC navigational line, which resulted in the opening of new horizons to benefit from the maintenance and reform services provided by the authority’s arsenals, indicating in this regard to the end of the repair and maintenance work provided by the Port Said Marine Arsenal for the MSC Rossella LLL on the floating basin “the pride of the channel”.
