The Sudanese embassy stated in a statement that the Egyptian authorities notified the embassy that foreigners exempt from residence licenses and residents in the country before the date of 7/8/1995, and they still enjoy exemption until date, and the end of the final deadline granted to them to extract these cards on 10/31/2024.
She pointed out that directives issued by the presidency of the Egyptian Cabinet regarding the suspension of all transactions and services provided to foreigners exempt from residence licenses who did not extract exemption cards.

Earlier, the new labor law submitted by the government and approved by the Manpower Committee in the House of Representatives, which the Council discusses during the public sessions, stressed that business owners may only employ foreigners after obtaining the license, and the foreign worker may only work after obtaining licenses to work in the facility.
Article 70 of the new labor bill stipulates that a foreigner may work within the country except after obtaining a license to do so from the competent ministry, and that it is authorized to enter the country and reside in it with the intention of work, and business owners may not employ foreigners until after obtaining this license.
