Al -Ittihad’s decision to hold the training of the first football team in the afternoon during the month of Ramadan sparked widespread controversy in the sports circles, after the statements of the journalist Khaled Al -Shanif, who described the matter as “very new and strange.”
Journalist Faisal Al -Raqiba stressed that the daytime exercises before breakfast may have a negative impact on the players level, noting that this may have contributed to the team’s recent chain of stumbling in the Roshen Professional League.
Despite this, Al-Ittihad succeeded in achieving an important victory over Riyadh 2-1 in round 25, to continue to lead the league with 61 points, beating Al-Hilal by 7 points, with a postponed match for the latter.
