The Kingdom of Bahrain participates in the current year of the Petersburg International Economic Forum as a guest of honor, which confirms the importance and weight of relations between Moscow and Manama.
Anton Kubakov, adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin, stressed the strengthening of economic relations between Russia and Bahrain in major areas such as energy, high technology, logistics and tourism.
“The Petersburg Forum is an important platform for dialogue between countries, companies and experts. The Gulf states have used the forum actively to build useful cooperation for both parties. Bahrain is a prominent example of this interaction.
And granting Bahrain the status of an honor guest that opens new horizons to deepen economic relations and enhance partnership in the strategic sectors.
For his part, the Bahraini Ambassador to Moscow Ahmed Al -Saati said: “Relations between Bahrain and Russia continue to develop actively in the cultural and humanitarian fields. Bahrain has chosen the international economic forum in Petersburg as an important platform to present our business, culture and tourism to the Russian public.
We expect effective participation from official delegations and leading companies in Bahrain, and we are confident of expanding our presence in Russia and enhancing cooperation at all levels. “
He stressed that the national pavilion of Bahrain will become a center for displaying its investment capabilities, creating contacts with partners in the business sector, and exchanging experiences.
The forum will be held from 18 to 21 June, and the event will be held at a time when the global economy faces major challenges, including the need to accelerate steps in digital transformation and combat climate change.
The forum is a platform to discuss these issues and develop practical solutions to adapt the global economy to the new circumstances.
“The 2024 edition of the forum witnessed a great success, as 21,800 people from 139 countries and regions participated, and 1073 agreements were signed with a value exceeding 6.4 trillion rubles.
The presence of the countries of the “BRICS” group was prominent, which contributed to enhancing economic cooperation and establishing new initiatives in the areas of sustainable development and infrastructure projects.
Kubakov expressed his confidence that this year’s version of the Petersburg International Economic Forum be a major tool for developing new strategies to face global economic challenges.
