In a recent statement issued on its official website, the Central Bank of Egypt announced the basic annual inflation rate to 10% in February 2025, compared to 22.6% in January 2025.
The central bank data showed that the monthly change rate in the basic record for consumer prices recorded 1.6% in February 2025 compared to 13.2% in February 2024 and 1.7% in January 2025.
According to previous data issued by the Central Bank of Egypt, the basic annual inflation rate in January 2025 decreased to 22.6%, compared to 23.2% in December 2024, and the basic record for consumer prices recorded about 1.7% in January 2025, compared to 2.2% in January 2024 and 0.9% in December 2024.
