The Egyptian Pharmaceutical Authority issued special decisions to unify the sources of the effective raw material for preparations that are manufactured locally with a license from foreign companies, in order to ensure quality and accreditation.
Stress the use of raw material from the country of origin
The Medicine Authority, in a post, obtained Cairo 24, a copy of it, that the recommendation included the obligation to use the sources of the effective raw material for the product used in the country of origin.
And submitting the quality file for the product in the event of a difference in the sources of the raw material between local manufacturing and manufacturing in the country of origin, for evaluation and accreditation, according to the publication of the Pharmaceutical Authority.
The authority emphasized that this recommendation comes within the framework of its keenness to enhance quality standards and ensure the safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical preparations circulating in the Egyptian market, in line with international standards organized for the pharmaceutical industry.
Earlier, during the past January and February, the Egyptian Drug Authority intensified its efforts with extensive inspection campaigns on public and private pharmaceutical facilities, and unlicensed places, in coordination with the various supervisory and security authorities.
Traffic included more than 30 thousand pharmaceutical institutions from public pharmacies and hospitals, pharmaceutical stores, distribution companies and pharmaceutical factories, and the implementation of inspection campaigns in coordination with the security services with a number of more than 450 joint campaigns.
