In a move aimed at protecting children and society from the dangers of fireworks, the Egyptian family’s house in Luxor and the International Organization of Al -Azhar graduates launched the “Balash Doussa” initiative, which aims to educate school students about the seriousness of these games, especially after a number of accidents and injuries occurred in several Egyptian governorates.

Salah Al -Din School hosts the start of the initiative
Salah al -Din Elementary School in Luxor witnessed the launch of the initiative’s activities, amid a large presence of students and teachers, as the meeting started by introducing the children to the goals of the initiative and the importance of limiting the use of fireworks during the month of Ramadan, which is supposed to be a month for worship and tranquility, not a source of inconvenience and intimidation.
Awareness expert: Fireworks are a danger to health and society
Dr. Dia El -Din Ahmed Mohamed, the decision of the Youth of the Family House and the owner of the idea of the initiative, stressed that fireworks are not limited to inconvenience only, but also extend to health, psychological and social risks, explaining that they may cause serious burns and injuries, and lead to fires, in addition to their negative impact on children and the elderly.
He added that the initiative was not limited to schools only, but also included going to the streets in the eastern railway area, where awareness campaigns were organized for parents and children about the great risks of these games.
A negative effect on mosques and places of worship
For his part, Sheikh Hamdi Zaki, a member of the Youth Committee at the Family House, indicated that fireworks cause a severe inconvenience to worshipers inside the mosques, and affect the reverence of the imams during the prayer, stressing that they contradict the teachings of religion that calls for tranquility and respect for others.
In the same context, Reverend Royce, a member of the Religious Discourse Committee at the Family House, stressed that all religions reject any behavior that causes harm and fear for others, explaining that fireworks may be a cause of tragic accidents, and also used interesting stories to attract the attention of children and make them aware of their dangers.
The symposium witnessed a great interaction of students, who expressed great enthusiasm to participate in the campaign and the race to answer awareness questions, which reflects their increasing awareness of the importance of the initiative.
“Blash Doussa” .. a step towards a safer environment
The “Blash Doussa” initiative seeks to spread awareness among children and parents about the grave dangers of fireworks, and to encourage society to search for safer entertainment, by organizing continuous awareness campaigns in schools and streets.
