Experts explained that fasting for long hours may lead to the body’s loss of fluids, which affects the health of the skin and makes it more vulnerable to dehydration and fatigue, and to maintain the freshness and vitality of the skin during the month of Ramadan, it is important to follow a healthy diet and a suitable care routine for the skin, according to the Hindistan Times newspaper.

The most important habits to keep the skin moisturizing during fasting

1. Drink enough water: water is the primary component to keep the skin moisturizing, so care must be taken to drink at least 8-10 cups of water between breakfast and suhoor, and natural drinks such as coconut water and boiled herbs such as chamomile can also be taken.

2. Eat foods rich in antioxidants: antioxidants help protect the skin from drying out and maintain their flexibility, and one of the most important foods useful for the skin:
Fruits rich in vitamin C: such as oranges, strawberries, and kiwi, which enhance collagen production and protect the skin from dryness.
Leafy vegetables: such as spinach and watercress, which contain vitamins and minerals necessary for skin health.
• Nuts and seeds: such as almonds, nuts and flaxseed, which contain fatty acids beneficial to the freshness of the skin.

3. Use skin moisturizers regularly: It is recommended to apply a moisturizing cream twice daily, and it is preferable to choose products that contain:
Hyaluronic acid: It helps to attract water to the skin cells and maintain their hydration.
• Shea butter or aloe vera: Natural ingredients that contribute to calming the skin and prevent its dryness.

4. Gently clean the skin: Using a suitable lotion for the skin helps remove impurities without causing dry skin, and it is preferable to wash the face with lukewarm water instead of hot water that may remove natural oils from the skin.

5. Avoid caffeine and refined sugars: Excessive consumption of coffee, tea and soft drinks leads to dry skin, so it is better to replace them with natural drinks such as fresh fruit juices.

6. Get enough sleep: Good sleep plays a big role in renewing skin cells and preventing signs of fatigue, so it is advised to sleep for a period of 7-8 hours per day.

7.
