In the context of its efforts to enhance the values of social solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan, the Sharjah Public Works Department hosted the “Basket of Good” initiative in cooperation with the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, to provide support to the needy families registered with the institution. The initiative aims to distribute the Ramadan mir to the families due, to ensure the provision of basic food needs during the holy month, which reflects the spirit of giving and compassion that distinguishes Emirati society. This initiative comes in the context of the commitment of government agencies in Sharjah to support needy groups and promote societal partnership, in line with the vision of the wise leadership in achieving social solidarity and consolidating the principles of social responsibility.
