The scholar Abdullah bin Bey, Chairman of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, called for building bridges of communication and understanding between Islamic schools of thought and strengthening the bonds of unity, stressing that this is a religious necessity and an existential interest in light of the current global challenges. This came within the opening speech he delivered for the work of the international conference “Building bridges between Islamic schools of thought: towards an active Islamic principal”, which is held in Makkah Al -Mukarramah under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud organized by the Islamic World League.
