In the context of strengthening community partnership and consolidating the concepts of sustainable security and safety, the Center for Community Service and Continuing Education at the Gulf University organized the exhibition of security and safety awareness under the slogan “Together Towards Comprehensive Consciousness and Sustainable Security”, with the participation of the departments of the Ministry of Interior, with the aim of spreading security awareness and enhancing societal culture on safety issues, in line with the Bahrain 2030 vision that focuses on sustainable development and achieving community security.
The exhibition witnessed the participation of a group of specialists from the Ministry of Interior, where they presented interactive workshops and awareness sessions on security and safety. The activities included specialized lectures by the General Administration of Investigations and Criminal Evidence, in which they dealt with the role of the crime scene unit, drug control methods, and the mechanisms of fighting trafficking in people. The General Traffic Department also gave a lecture on traffic safety, which included a review of the traffic car mechanism in monitoring violations.
In the same context, the Coast Guard Command reviewed its efforts to secure and promote marine safety, while the General Administration of Civil Defense gave a lecture on fire extinguishing methods and dealing with emergency situations. The exhibition also witnessed a lecture on financial investigations and combating money laundering, which highlighted the risks associated with financial crimes and its control mechanisms..
This exhibition comes within the efforts of the Community Service Center and Continuing Education at the Gulf University to promote societal awareness, in cooperation with the competent authorities, in a way that contributes to achieving a more secure and sustainable environment, and is in line with the Bahrain 2030 vision that seeks to build a safe and sustainable society based on knowledge and societal partnership
