A few days ago, registration began with the statements of the General Assembly of the Syndicate, in preparation for the meeting based on the invitation sent by the Journalists Syndicate Council headed by Khaled Al -Balashi, for colleagues registered in the schedule of workers for the regular meeting of the General Assembly of the Syndicate, in order to work for the text of Article 33 of the Syndicate Law 76 of 1970.
Journalist Khaled Al -Balshi, the captain of the journalists and the candidate for the same position in the midterm elections for the Journalists Syndicate, the journalist writer Gamal Abdel Rahim, Secretary General of Journalists, and Chairman of the Committee supervising the union elections, in the General Assembly’s statements, in preparation for the convening of its regular meeting.

Earlier, Gamal Abdel Rahim, Secretary General of the Journalists Syndicate, and Chairman of the Committee supervising the midterm elections, said that the union announced today the statements of the members of the General Assembly of the Syndicate, who have the right to participate in the work of the General Assembly scheduled to be held on Friday 7 March 2025 AD, at the union’s headquarters in Abdel Khaleq Tharwat Street in Cairo, and the statements of the members of the General Assembly of the Syndicate branch in Alexandria were announced.
The Chairman of the Committee supervising the elections confirmed that the total number of members of the General Assembly reached 10224 members, including 187 in the branch of the sub -union in Alexandria, distributed over 24 electoral committees.
The Journalists Syndicate Council, headed by Khaled Al -Balshi, invited the colleagues enrolled in the schedule of workers for the regular meeting of the General Assembly of the Syndicate, at ten o’clock in the morning Friday, March 7, 2025 AD, in implementation of the text of Article 33 of the Syndicate Law No. 76 of 1970 AD.
