Foreign Minister Dr. Abdel -Latif Al -Zayani at the joint ministerial meeting between the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council states and the Kingdom of Morocco, which was held yesterday in Makkah Al -Mukarramah, sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The side of the Cooperation Council and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the sisterly State of Kuwait chaired the head of the current session of the Ministerial Council Abdullah Al -Yahya, while the side of the Kingdom of Morocco was headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation and Moroccans abroad and Nasser Bouraita. The Secretary -General of the Cooperation Council participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the path of close historical brotherly relations linking the countries of the Cooperation Council and the Kingdom of Morocco was discussed within the framework of the existing strategic partnership between the two sides and reviewing the evaluation of the workflow in the implementation of this partnership, and studies ways to enhance joint cooperation in various political, economic and developmental fields of common concern for what would serve mutual interests.
The meeting instructed the General Secretariat in coordination with the Kingdom of Morocco to hold technical work teams meetings in implementation of the joint work plan to enhance the strategic partnership between the two sides in all fields.
The two sides also discussed the developments of regional situation and developments, efforts to replace security and stability in the region, ways to develop cooperation, coordination and consultation towards various regional and international challenges and issues of common concern, and exchange support and support in international forums.
His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Abdul Rahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Talal Abdel Salam Al Ansari, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mohammed Al -Haidan, Head of Legal Affairs Sector, Acting Head of the Cooperation Council Affairs and the accompanying delegation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
