The opening session of the political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Islamic Republic of Iran was held on Friday in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was chaired by Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, and Majid Takht Runji, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs in Iran, where the two sides welcomed the first round of political consultations, and stressed their importance as an opportunity to discuss issues of common concern. Saif Al -Zaabi, the UAE’s ambassador to Iran, and the Iranian ambassador to the UAE, and high -ranking officials from both sides participated in the consultations. (WAM)
