In our digital age, technology has become an integral part of our daily life, even in the holy month of Ramadan. While some people fear that smart devices will affect the spiritual and social atmosphere, I see that technology can be employed in positive ways to enhance Islamic values and strengthen family and societal ties, including: the use and employment of religious applications that encourage worship such as: the applications and interpretation of the Qur’an, the ears applications and the reminder of prayer times, and the programs of dhikr and praise.

Social media can also be used to consolidate family relations and facilitate communication with relatives such as: the participation of family and relatives traveling moments of breakfast and suhoor that enhance the interdependence between friends and family, and to organize recitation sessions and religious lessons via the Internet to increase religious awareness, and to send electronic congratulations and blessings to family, relatives and friends to strengthen social relations. Technology can also be employed in voluntary charitable work such as: reliance on electronic payment to collect Donations from the capable and hand them over to the poor who are entitled to electronically, and to conduct social studies for needy families electronically, and there is no doubt that awareness campaigns through these means contribute to spreading Islamic values.

Mobile phone applications can also be employed in several areas, including: budget planning applications that help reduce extravagance in Ramadan in the consumption of foods, and food sharing applications prevent waste and direct the surplus to the needy. And meal donation applications for those in need.

At the same time, technology has negative aspects, including: excessive people in the use of mobile phones applications, and they distract them from worship, as they distract them from interacting with family members at family gatherings, just as some may fall into the warning of the transmission of rumors and wrong news through social media unintentionally, so it will be a door for sins, so on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: It is caveat that it may be given to a video viewer or photographed with what is forbidden to look at.

However, I see that modern technology and social media have more positives than the negatives, as long as a person has the same addiction and excessive use of these means, and I take care of caution and verify the validity of the information contained in it before it is transferred to others or before it is believed .. In general, everything has positives and negatives, so we should not abandon the positives for fear of the negatives, but we have to know how to avoid the negatives It is not praiseworthy in every place .. and you are safe.
