A medical team at Al -Azhar University Hospital in Assiut succeeded in eradicating a breast tumor weighing 55 kg, for a 35 -year -old patient, which caused her movement and her feeling of continuous pain.
The patient was recovered, and she is now in good condition and under the observation and supervision of insurance from the university hospital administration in Assiut, based on the humanitarian message to Al -Azhar University headed by Dr. Salama Juma Dawood, President of the University in providing medical services to citizens in Al -Azhar University hospitals in Cairo and the regions.

The medical team participating in the surgery under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Abdel -Fattah, head of the surgery departments, included:
Dr. Jamal Al -Shimi, Professor of General Surgery at Al -Azhar Medicine.
Dr. Mohamed Amer, Assistant General Surgery Teacher.
– Dr. Fathi Ali, Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim, the teachers of anesthesia and intensive care in Al -Azhar medicine, Dr. Ahmed Al -Sayed, and Dr. Abdul Rahman Haroun, assistant anesthesi schools.
– Doctor: Islam Amer, a resident doctor, in addition to two surgery and anesthesia nursing.
It is noteworthy that the surgery was carried out, under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Siddiq, Vice President of the University, Graduate Studies and Research, General Supervisor of the University Hospital Sector at Al -Azhar University, Dr. Mohamed Abdel -Malik, Vice President of the University for Upper Egypt, Dr. Ibrahim Shaalan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospital, and Dr. Sherif Mutawa, Director General of the Hospital.
