Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Al -Ahliya University, opened today, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the headquarters of the Primary Care Center in the university city of the university in the new Mansoura City, in a move aimed at strengthening health services provided to university employees and ensuring a safe and comfortable educational environment.

The opening was attended by a number of university leaders, including Dr. Mohamed Attia Al -Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Khaled Al Mahdi, Director General of Medical Administration at Mansoura University, along with college deans, and managers Programs, Osama Abdel -Fattah Moussa, supervisor of the university’s headquarters, and Dr. Abeer Abdel -Ghani, Director of the Medical Department.
During his speech, Dr. Sherif Khater stressed that the Primary Care Center is a large quality addition to health care services provided to faculty, students, and workers, noting that the university always seeks to provide maximum amenities and health care.
He explained that the center includes four specialized medical clinics equipped with 12 modern beds and pharmacy, and it works 24 hours with a qualified medical staff and a trained nursing body to provide urgent diagnostic and treatment services. He also announced the university’s plans to provide an ambulance equipped with the latest medical devices to serve emergency cases.
Khater added that the center will not only provide medical services to the university’s employees, but will also provide emergency medical services to neighboring universities and the residents of the new Mansoura city, within the framework of the societal role played by the university. He also pointed out that the unit will work as a medical training center for students of the kidneys and nursing, which contributes to the rehabilitation of future medical cadres.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Attia Al -Bayoumi praised the evolving equipment of the center, stressing its role in improving health care within the university, while Dr. Mohamed Abdel -Azim pointed out the importance of this initiative in enhancing the social role of the university.
In the same context, Dr. Khaled Al -Mahdi explained that the center is equipped with the latest medical devices and supplies, and includes an integrated medical team to provide primary health care services and periodic follow -up to sick conditions. Dr. Abeer Abdel -Ghani also pointed out that the center will provide multiple medical specialties, including internal, orthopedic surgery, and skin diseases, as well as providing first aid, medical examination for new students and organizing training courses in the field of first aid.
The opening of the Primary Care Center comes within the Mansoura National University plan to enhance the infrastructure of health services and support the educational environment, to ensure the provision of integrated and safe medical services to all employees of the university.
