Hassan Ali Issa, the Secretary -General of the Sudanese Al -Hilal Club, confirmed that the team’s next match against Al -Ahly in the quarter -finals of the African Champions League will be of a special nature.
Issa added in televised statements, that the relationship between the two countries extends over many years of cooperation and brotherhood, noting that this meeting represents an opportunity to enhance the historical ties between the Egyptian and Sudanese people.
With regard to the place of holding the return match with the red genie, he explained that the meeting will not take place in Egypt, stressing that there is no choice for that despite the great respect of Al -Ahly Club.
He said: “The first leg will take place in Cairo, but the return match will not be played in Egypt … We have several options, including holding the meeting in Mauritania or any other country, according to the vision of the technical staff, because the decision will be in the end of the coach, and we in the administration will support his decision Fully. “
The Secretary -General of the Sudanese Al -Hilal Club continued that Al -Hilal respects Al -Ahly as one of the clubs of the ancient African continent with a full history of championships, but he stressed that Al -Hilal is also one of the major clubs on the continent, as he reached the final of the championship twice in its history.
