In response to Cairo 24 .. The Foreign Ministry interferes to rescue an Egyptian woman who was violent at the hands of her Turkish husband in Ankara

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs quickly responded to the distress of an Egyptian woman residing in Turkey, after being subjected to frequent physical violence by her Turkish husband, who holds a prominent position in Ankara, after Cairo published 24 appeal to the woman asking for help to file a divorce lawsuit, after years of continuous physical attacks .

In the context of immediate action, the concerned authorities contacted the woman and decided to hold a meeting in Cairo between one of the Ministry’s officials and her brother, to discuss ways to provide the necessary support.

The Egyptian consulate in Turkey also initiated it, to ensure the provision of the required assistance in complete confidentiality in order to preserve its safety, especially after it expressed its concerns that it would receive the same fate of Aya Adel, and other victims of domestic violence whose lives ended tragicly.

The lady revealed, in statements to Cairo 24, that she is experiencing a continuous struggle with her husband because of his repeated attacks on her, which caused her severe injuries, including serious injuries to the face.

She explained that he refuses to divorce her despite her many attempts to end the relationship, noting that her main problem lies in her inability to bear the costs of legal procedures necessary to file a divorce lawsuit, as she needs legal support to help her in this step.

She emphasized that the incident of Aya Adel, which lost her life in Jordan after being subjected to domestic violence, led her to deviate from her silence and asked for help for fear of facing the same fate.

It is reported that the details of the incident were not fully published in order to preserve the safety and security of the woman.
