The third coordination meeting for human rights between Bahrain and the UAE was held

Today, the third coordination meeting between the Human Rights Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Department of Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the sisterly United Arab Emirates, headed by Ambassador Dr. Youssef Abdel Karim Bojiri, Director General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights, and Ambassador Saeed Rashid Al Habsi , Director of the Department of Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the sisterly United Arab Emirates, in the presence of Ambassador Dr. Arwa Hassan Al -Sayed, Head of the Human Rights Sector.

Ambassador Dr. Youssef Abdel Karim Bojiri praised the established brotherly relations that bring together the two countries, which were based on solid foundations of joint cooperation established by parents and grandparents, and continued to progress and prosper thanks to the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the country, and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting witnessed a review of aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of human rights, discussing the prospects for future action, in addition to exchanging experiences on developing national mechanisms concerned with protecting and promoting human rights, as well as highlighting the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this field, and reviewing the national framework of human rights and etc. It was achieved from projects within the National Plan for Human Rights (2022-2026).

At the end of the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and joint work to strengthen the human rights system and the state of law in the two brotherly countries, in order to achieve their common aspirations and goals.
