The minister started the meeting by welcoming the head of the JICA office in Egypt, offering him congratulations on assuming the duties of his new position, wishing him success during his period of work in Egypt and a happy stay during which he can enjoy the ingredients, products, patterns and various tourism experiences and varied in the Egyptian tourist destination.
The Minister also valued the close friendship between the two countries, which is witnessing fruitful cooperation in various fields, including tourism and monuments, especially the Grand Egyptian Museum project, stressing the importance of this partnership and continuing joint work with JICA to achieve ambitious goals.
During the meeting, the increase in the size of the tourist movement coming from the Japanese market to the Egyptian destination was reviewed, as well as discussing the promotion of cooperation mechanisms to exchange experiences and raise the capabilities of the cadres of workers in the field of archaeological work, and cooperation in implementing the research strategy of the Grand Egyptian Museum to become the largest regional research center To study Egyptology and museums, in addition to being the largest museum in the world for ancient Egyptian antiquities, in addition to training the countries of the region in the skills that The Egyptian restoration and archaeologists gained it in this field.
For his part, the head of the JICA office in Egypt valued the work that was accomplished in the museum in the context of this cooperation, reviewing the projects being implemented in the field of archaeological work within the framework of this partnership, stressing his keenness to continue this constructive cooperation in a way that serves common interests.
