On Saturday, Israel delayed the release of Palestinian detainees after the release of 6 Israeli hostages in Gaza, according to Israeli sources told “Agence France Presse”.

More than 620 Palestinian detainees were to be released on Saturday in the framework of the seventh exchange operation under the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Club.

Their release would be in exchange for the release of the six Israeli hostages who released Hamas earlier Saturday from Gaza.

Hamas handed over the Israeli hostages Elijah Cohen, Umar Shim Tof and Omer Vinker to the Red Cross in Nuseirat camp in Gaza.

The Palestinian Media Center stated that the process of handing over the hostages to the Red Cross came after the arrival of the shadow unit procession and insurance forces in the Al -Qassam Brigades and the Red Cross crews to the delivery point for receiving the Israelis.

Hamas decided to hand over the sixth prisoner Hisham El -Sayed, who is of Palestinian origin and detained for 10 years, in Gaza City without respect for respect and observance of the Palestinians inside, according to Palestinian reports.

Earlier on Saturday, Hamas handed over two of the kidnappers returning to the Israeli army and the Shin Bet in the Gaza Strip.
