What is the Night of Power and why was it called this name?

There were several interpretations from it, because it is a night of great destiny and honor, where the Holy Qur’an was revealed, which raised the matter of the Islamic nation, and here is the rest of the reasons for its name with such a name:
- Because the destiny is estimated in it, where Ibn Qutaybah said that fate in its meaning here refers to “appreciation”, that is, God appreciates the provisions of the next year.
- Because the earth is narrowing the angels for their abundance, which was what came in the words of Hebron bin Ahmed.
- Because God revealed a book with a destiny, on a prophet with a destiny, by a king with a destiny, for a nation with a destiny, as some scholars said.
And it was stated in the interpretation of Ibn Katheer that God revealed the Holy Qur’an one sentence from the tablet preserved to the lowest heaven, then it came down to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, separated according to the facts in twenty -three years.

- One night worship in which is equivalent to worshiping a thousand months, that is, about 83 years and 4 months, which is a great merit that is not found on any other night.
- The angels descended to the earth to spread mercy and blessing, as stated in the Almighty saying: {The angels and the spirit are revealed in it with the permission of their Lord from every matter. ”
- A night of peace and safety, where tranquility and calm prevail until dawn, as God Almighty said: {Salam is until the dawn}.
- Supplication in it was answered, as the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was keen to diligence in it by supplication, and he was calling: “Oh God, you are an amnesty that loves pardon, so forgive me.”
The Egyptian Dar al -Iftaa stressed the need for Muslims to be keen to investigate this blessed night in the last ten days of Ramadan, and diligence in it with prayer, supplication, and reading the Qur’an, in order to seek the consent of God and his forgiveness.
