Tuthmosis II and Hatshepsut: A political marriage or a struggle for the ruling?
Tuthmosis II, the fourth kings of the eighteenth family, married his half -sister, Queen Hatshepsut, in a political move to strengthen his royal legitimacy.
Although he was the actual king, historical evidence indicates that Hatshepsut was a real influence during his short period of rule, due to its descent from a stronger royal strain.

The mummy of King Tuthmosis the II was previously found in 1871 in the cabinet of the marine monastery (Cemetery No. 320), but there was no funeral furniture known to the king in global museums.
