The meeting discussed a number of investment opportunities available to companies affiliated with the Ministry and the position of joint projects, among them the developments of the project to establish a solar power plant with a card (1 GB) with the aim of providing the aluminum complex in Nag Hammadi with clean electricity, within the framework of the state’s efforts to enhance dependence on renewable energy sources and achieve sustainability In the industrial sector, in the presence of Eng. Mohamed Al -Saadawi, the executive director of the Holding Company for Metal Industries, And the adviser Saeed was known by the legal advisor to the Ministry of Public Business Sector.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister praised the depth of bilateral relations that bring together the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Norway, and the remarkable development it witnessed in recent years, stressing the importance of enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of renewable energy.
Eng. Mohamed Shimi stressed during the meeting the importance of cooperation with international partners in the field of clean energy in line with the goals of sustainable development and the vision of Egypt 2030, noting that this project comes within the government’s strategy to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency in biomedics.
The minister added that the project represents an important step towards achieving sustainability in the aluminum sector, as it will contribute to reducing the operational costs of the complex and reducing the carbon footprint, in order to enhance the competitiveness of the national industry in international markets.
For his part, Skatak CEO expressed the company’s aspiration to enhance cooperation with the Egyptian side, confirming the company’s commitment to transfer advanced technology and providing sustainable solutions to support the aluminum sector.
The Norway Ambassador also praised the partnership between Egypt and Norway in the fields of renewable energy, confirming her country’s support for investments that contribute to achieving the shift towards the green economy.
