My dream is to be the best not only in Bahrain, but in the whole Gulf. ”
In these two scenes, a clear reflection of a vast difference between generations, one of whom sees an endless opportunity in life, no matter how old it is, and the other is hardly steering in the middle of the road, but it yearns for the final break, even before testing the taste of the pursuit and challenge.
When we look at our fathers and grandparents, we find that work for them was not just a way to gain livelihood, but rather was part of their identity and existence. They dive into the depths of the sea in search of pearls, challenging its waves without certainty of what they might return, but that did not deter them from returning again and again.
They were making wood in their hands, ships, from mud, homes, and from the effort of dignity. They did not ask when they retired, but they were working until the last day in their lives, because they believed that a person is without work, without value.
Today, comfort has changed the priorities of many of our youth. The dream is no longer a long -term project, but rather it is postponed until retirement, as if real life begins after the years of giving ends. Many are looking for the shortest way to achieve luxury, even if it was at the expense of ambition and pursuit.
It is not required for everyone to be craftsmen, constructions, or adventurous merchants, but to live without a dream and without a desire to achieve it is what causes life to lose its luster, because age was never an obstacle to success, how many people started his project in the fifty or sixty, and succeeded where Many of those who possessed young people and energy failed, but they missed persistence.
Running behind dreams, aspirations and achievement is not a luxury; Rather, it is the necessity of preserving the glow of life in our eyes, so it does not matter how much age is, because the most important thing is what we will do with what remains of it, for those who rush to rest today may discover after years that the real break was not in escaping from work but rather in the pleasure of achievement itself.
