Mr. Nawaf bin Muhammad Al-Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, participated in the forty-first meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, which was held in the capital, Cairo, in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Council discussed the activation of Arab agreements related to combating terrorism, including the Arab Agreement to Combat Terrorism and its implementation mechanism, the Arab Agreement to Combat Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism, and the Arab Agreement to Combat Information Technology Crimes.
The Council also discussed ways to enhance Arab and international cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, in addition to following up on the implementation of decisions related to the Arab Convention against Corruption, and discussing the draft Arab Convention on the situation of refugees in Arab countries, and the draft Arab Convention for the Protection of Personal Data.
The Council also discussed the draft Arab guiding law to prevent hate speech, the draft Arab guiding law to protect and assist displaced persons in Arab countries, the draft Arab guiding law to protect children from recruitment into armed conflicts, in addition to the draft Arab model law to combat narcotics and psychotropic substances.
