The Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Sharqia launched a major inspection campaign in the 10th of Ramadan City in coordination with the Supply Directorate, which resulted in the seizure of about 7 tons and 730 kilograms of poultry unfit for human consumption and of unknown origin, and the necessary legal measures were taken against the violators.

Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharqiya, confirmed the continued intensification of inspection and monitoring campaigns on markets, exhibitions and shops selling meat, poultry and fish, butcher shops, restaurants, preservation refrigerators and factories, to control prices and ensure the suitability of products and their compliance with health and environmental requirements in order to preserve the health of citizens.
