Abu Dhabi/WAM The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat approved a number of 6,228 male and female citizens to perform the Hajj pilgrimage for the year 1447 AH/2026 AD, and they were contacted via text messages and various means of communication in preparation for completing the required procedures within the framework of the Authority’s early preparations for the Hajj season. The Authority confirmed that the selection process was carried out according to the automated sorting program, and according to the specified standards and conditions, revealing that the number of applicants for this season reached more than 72,000, and their applications were received through the Authority’s official channels. She explained that the electronic sorting was carried out on principles that take into account justice and equal opportunities, as priority was given to senior citizens and those with health conditions.
