
The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority implemented a project to modify the lighting of the Khor Fakkan Road tunnels at a cost amounting to 37 million dirhams. The project included the removal of all old lighting devices and their accessories, and replacing them with 5,524 modern energy-saving lighting systems, in addition to extending cables to a length of 119 kilometers, and implementing all the necessary technical work and connections to ensure efficient operation of lighting in all tunnels. This is part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to improve traffic safety and improve energy efficiency in the emirate’s road networks.
